Asian FX’s loss is Panjab Radio’s gain as the latter will now receive a funding boost as a result of the closure of the youth radio station. The Punjabi language station has reported healthy listener figures in comparison to Asian FX, and so buoyed by its popularity within the Asian community, the station will expand over the coming weeks in order to broadcast across Newcastle and Sunderland.
